Is there parental involvement at Top Flight Academy?
Yes! At Top Flight Academy you are part of a team that is dedicated to promoting healthy growth and providing help for your child. We do not consider your child a fix-it project. We see all of us as a team, working together, each with an important role to play. We focus on solutions to problems by asking each team member to take appropriate responsibility and do their part to assist in the growth process. The truth is, when parent, child, and staff work together, the chances for success are much greater. So, we really do need your help.

Are Top Flight Academy students allowed to go home for weekends, holidays, etc.?
We feel that a continuum of treatment is very important for our students at Top Flight Academy, and therefore home visits are generally not allowed while your son is enrolled in the program. We make every effort to make birthdays, holidays and other occasions as special as possible.
Is Top Flight Academy co-ed?
Top Flight Academy currently accepts only boys, ages 13 through 17.
Isn't it dangerous to put a 'troubled teen' in an airplane?
Our students do not fly in the airplanes until they have made significant progress toward their therapeutic, academic, and community living goals. Because of the intensive therapeutic nature of our program our advanced students possess and exhibit substantial behavioral and emotional maturity. Also, our graduates will have completed all the ground school requirements for a Private Pilot license. With this in mind, we feel completely comfortable providing our advanced students with flight time with our flight instructors.
Do you have specific enrollment dates?
No. You can enroll your child at any time.
How do we get our son to Top Flight Academy if he does not want to go?
Our Admissions Department will work closely with you in determining the best way of transporting your son to our facility. There are a number of companies that specialize in the transportation of "unwilling" teens to treatment programs. For a number of reasons, Top Flight recommends USA Guides as a high quality transport service. For more information about USA Guides, click here.
What is the average length of stay at Top Flight Academy?
